For years now people have said to me that I am such a positive thinker. They think I always ‘think positively,’ whereas in truth I do no such thing. In fact I see positive thinking as a barrier to actually getting what you desire.
Now I know that may seem to go somewhat against the grain, but have you ever seen someone who is ‘trying’ to think positively. You can’t handle being in their presence for very long. This is because they are going against nature. Both positive and negative thought, are states which are created by our minds.
Neither has any real benefit other than demonstrating where you don’t really want to be. You are not looking to think positively. The state you want to be in is one of knowing you will get the best possible outcome.
Now this requires no positive or negative thought… as both are useless why would it! So the power of positive thinking is actually a bit misleading… It is not thinking positively or negatively, it is just getting on with what has to be done and accepting what has already happened. Now some people would well that’s the power of positive thinking, but I would disagree.
What you are actually struggling to get to when you try positive thinking, is actually the state of knowing that the best possible thing will happen.
Now that may not be what you ‘want’ to happen, however, it happens to be what will happen. By you ‘trying’ to think positively, you are opposing nature instead of going with it. The law of least effort is all about just accepting the way things are and allowing them to be. Now to me that is a much better definition of the power of positive thinking.
